Deciding on a primary care physician for your child is an important decision for any parent. Pediatricians and family medicine physicians are the primary care doctors for most children. This section of our children's site provides you information about the services and locations of our pediatric and family medicine offices.

In addition to our quality physicians, our staff also includes physician assistants and nurse practitioners, who are trained to deliver many aspects of primary care. Together these medical professionals form a team to provide you and your children with the best health care in a timely fashion.

How do I choose a physician?

The pediatricians and family medicine physicians of Palo Alto Medical Foundation are board certified in their specialty. Each member of PAMF's medical staff is qualified to provide quality care to his or her patients.

Our physician directory provides you with profiles for all of the physicians at PAMF. You can see where they received their education and M.D., what residencies and fellowships they have completed and as well as their personal backgrounds and interests.

Scheduling a Visit

You may wish to schedule a visit with the doctor you select to see if he or she fits your child's need. There may be a small fee for scheduling this "get acquainted" appointment. (Check with the department for specific fees.) During this first visit you can determine how easy it is to talk with the doctor, ask questions and see how the doctor interacts with your child.
