Hancock
This movie was rated PG-13 because it contains some intense action sequences, violence, and some strong language. However, looking around the theater, many of the viewers were under 13, as the superhero crowd tends to be 10 to 14. This is a good movie to watch with kids, although there are parts you will likely not be able to explain.
There are heroes ... and then there's Hancock (Will Smith). He drinks way too much, he swears, he torments children, kisses other people’s wives, and destroys stuff –- so, you may wonder why he is a hero.
Well, he happens to be super strong. OK, he also has a sensitive, misunderstood side, and might just be willing to change before the good citizens of Los Angeles put him in prison for life. To help with that transformation comes an ad exec Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) in need of a hobby – which he decides will be to teach Hancock that with great power comes great responsibility. He wants to help Hancock despite the fact that his wife, Mary (Charlize Theron), insists it’s a lost cause. Then there is a mighty twist, that I will not spoil for you: you will have to watch the movie to find out.
