How does one make an appointment for physical therapy?
After a PAMF physician has referred a patient to the Physical Therapy Department, he or she may call 650-853-3355 to schedule an appointment.

What types of physical therapy services are offered?
PAMF's Physical Therapy Department has a diverse staff that provides treatment for and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and postoperative care.
The department features state-of-the-art equipment, including a pool for aquatic therapy, two specialty treadmills that will alter the effects of normal gravity and an isokinetic testing device. In addition, the department will has Pilates equipment and an Olympic lifting platform.

What types of insurance does the Department of Physical Therapy accept?
PAMF provides physical therapy services to patients with HMO, POS and PPO insurance for whom our physical therapy services are appropriate. HMO and POS patients are required to have a referral and authorization from their PAMF primary care physician prior to beginning physical therapy.
Note: PAMF is currently completing the certification necessary to become a Medicare provider for physical therapy. Patients should verify that services are covered by their insurance provider prior to receiving services.

Does the Physical Therapy Department accept workers' compensation insurance?
No. PAMF does not provide treatment for patients who are covered by workers' compensation insurance for injuries and illnesses sustained in the workplace. Patients should discuss referral to a workers' compensation provider with their employer's Human Resources Department.

Where can patients find out the cost of physical therapy services?
Patients may call the Physical Therapy Department at 650-853-3355 for a fee schedule. However, fee estimates are not a guarantee of coverage by the health plan.

Where should patients park?
Patients may park in the underground garage and take the designated elevator to the Clark Building, or may park in the above-ground parking garage by entering Encina Avenue off of El Camino Real.
