About Us
The not-for-profit Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is a not-for-profit health care organization that is a pioneer in the multispecialty group practice of medicine. PAMF's more than 900 affiliated physicians and 3,500 employees serve more than 550,000 patients in locations throughout the Bay Area.
PAMF is recognized as a national leader in using state-of-the-art technology, including electronic health records, to provide patients with the highest quality care possible. PAMF has three divisions: the Health Care Division, which includes the Palo Alto region, the Camino region and the Santa Cruz region, the Education Division and the Research Institute. In 1993, PAMF became part of the Sutter Health family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations that serve more than 100 communities in Northern California. In 2008, the physicians of the former Camino Medical Group, Palo Alto Medical Clinic and Santa Cruz Medical Clinic merged into a single physician group called the Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group to contract with PAMF to provide physician services.
