Melissa L. A. Fought, R.N., N.P., joined the Department of Sports Medicine in March 2006. She received her Master of Science degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in 2003. Fought is a member of the California Association of Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is married and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, making home improvements and traveling.

Fought sees patients at both the Palo Alto Clinic and the Department of Sports Medicine's clinic in Sunnyvale.
